With the quality of the peaches this year, we decided to make a preserve that highlighted the natural sweetness and acidity of Niagara peaches. We have an old fashioned peach preserve from yesteryear. Just peaches! Very little sugar, and no added spices or pectin, just peaches, time, and the french copper pot method. The result is a preserve that tastes fresh, that is not sticky or sickly sweet, but let’s the naturally beauty of our Niagara peaches do the talking all on their own. Enjoy on your breakfast pancakes, waffles or crepes, alongside a cheese board, or on top of your vanilla ice cream, this preserve is extremely versatile.
